This Book of Memories memorial website allows family and friends a place to re-visit, share and enhance this tribute for future generations.
My brother or as my children called you, “Uncle Bubba” as you referred to them “Uncle Bubba’s babies”. We were born and raised in Texas. So many memories, I cannot begin to tell the whole story. We were buddies, inseparable, sharing the same significant life with our parents, especially our grandparents, uncles and cousins. We were taught family is everything. We were raised with our cousins traveling every weekend to Grand Praire and Irving to be with family. Sharing every holiday with them, as mama cooked that great food anticipating their arrival. We watched our mama pray many prayers, teaching us about God and the values of life “home training”. We never strayed from what were taught. We shared the same friends from childhood to adults. We set next to each other in church sharing the word of God. You never forgot the holidays remembering our birthdays always. We had our spats, but we always made up, stating how much we loved each other and kisses on the cheek. I am so glad that I told you I love you even to the end. Our last conversation I called to check on you, we talked about God, you said “thank you for having church with me”, but I won’t hear you sing your song, “Shine On Me”, and no one can do it like you. Well, I could go on but I need a book, there are not enough lines on the paper for me to tell our stories and whoa we have a lot. A great son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin. You will never be forgotten, there are too many stories. Sleep, get your rest for I will see you again in that great day. I love you!
