Obituary for Alice D. Graves

A Blessed Life

Our Sweet Spirited, Alice Delores Graves was born on July 16, 1938, to the late Levi and Bertha Foster, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the “Baby Girl” of eleven children.

Alice was married to the love of her life, LeRoy “Roy” Graves for 58 years, before he was called home to rest. Their union produced five children. LeRoy Jr, who died as a baby and Anthony “Tony” were there with dad, to welcome her with open arms.

Roy provided the spiritual covering for Alice, by introducing her to a Jehovah’s Witness, very early in their marriage. Alice dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, on October 11th, 1958. She served as a faithful and loyal servant with the Hamtramck Kirby Congregation.

Alice dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved and touched the hearts and lives of many people. She was a mother to many though her loving and nurturing ways.

She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children: Diana Graves, Terry (Claudia) Graves, and Tanisha Graves; five grandchildren: Terrence Graves, Xavier Graves, TreSean Graves Sr., Kyanna Graves, and Alexander Graves; two great grandchildren: Angel Graves, and TreSean Graves, Jr.; three brothers: Donald (Pat) Foster, Charles (Donna) Foster, and Anthony Foster; best friend Ordria Daniel, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Jehovah called Alice home to rest on June 13th, 2020. Three sisters: Barbara Walls, Ernestine Cistruk, and Shirley Stevenson; and four brothers: Howard Foster, Michael Foster, Richard Dixon, and Ronald Foster, preceded her in death.

And He (Jehovah) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
