Precious Mother and entire Harrison family,
Your beloved Albeny was valiant in his journey to restore his health in all that he was able to overcome and accomplish - with the help of the Lord. It took his foundation of courage and character to keep fighting to get over and through every valley and mountain. He needed, relied on, and appreciated each of your prayers, visits, words of encouragement, meeting with his healthcare team, your emails and phone calls, … and all that you did.
So now we rejoice and celebrate his victories and his entire life. We remember his kindness, his grace, his beautiful smile and the good times of laughter he shared with us. For you his family, you each have your individual and collective intimate legacy of his life memories. Cherish them.
Be comforted by these words from John 11:23-27 when Lazarus died - "23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.”
I'll miss his genuine kindness and graciousness towards me every time I visited Detroit. I'm grateful that my heart is still smiling because of the laughter he brought to it.
Thank you Mother Harrison, Wanda, Jesse, Leroy, Adrian, Ben, Dee, Toya, and Michael for so unselfishly sharing him and yourselves with me and my family. They send their condolences to each of you.
God bless and keep you,
Love,
Abby
